🍞 Easy Cinnamon Bread
Ingredients
Dry ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
Wet ingredients:
- 1 cup buttermilk (or 1 cup milk + 1 tablespoon vinegar or lemon juice)
- 1 large egg
- ¼ cup vegetable oil (or melted butter)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Cinnamon swirl:
- ⅓ cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
Optional glaze:
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 1–2 tablespoons milk
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

- Preheat oven
Preheat to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×5-inch loaf pan. - Mix dry ingredients
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt. - Mix wet ingredients
In another bowl, whisk buttermilk, egg, oil, and vanilla. - Combine
Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and stir just until combined. Do not overmix. - Make cinnamon swirl
In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon. - Layer batter
- Pour half the batter into the loaf pan.
- Sprinkle half the cinnamon mixture over the batter.
- Add the remaining batter.
- Sprinkle remaining cinnamon mixture on top.
- Swirl gently with a knife.
- Bake
Bake for 45–55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. - Cool
Let bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a rack. - Optional glaze
Mix glaze ingredients and drizzle over cooled bread.
