Description:
This dish is a mashup masterpiece — two cheesy pizzas layered with juicy burger patties, tangy sauce, and all the fixings. It’s hearty, over-the-top, and perfect for feeding a hungry crowd that can’t choose between pizza and burgers.
Ingredients (Serves 6–8)
For the burger layer:
1 lb (450 g) ground beef
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
For the pizzas:
2 pre-baked pizza crusts (about 12 inches each)
1 cup pizza sauce
3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
For toppings:
½ cup diced onion
½ cup diced pickles
½ cup cooked bacon bits (optional)
½ cup shredded lettuce (for serving)
Burger sauce or Thousand Island dressing (for drizzling)
Instructions
Prepare burger patties:
Mix ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce.
Shape into two large, thin patties roughly the size of your pizza crusts.
Cook in a skillet over medium-high heat until fully cooked, about 4–5 minutes per side. Drain excess grease.
Assemble pizzas:
Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
Place first crust on a baking sheet, spread with half the pizza sauce, sprinkle with 1½ cups mozzarella and ½ cup cheddar.
Add one cooked burger patty on top, sprinkle with diced onion and pickles, and top with second pizza crust.
Top the stack:
Spread remaining pizza sauce on top crust, add remaining mozzarella and cheddar, bacon bits if using, and more diced onions.
Bake:
Bake for 10–12 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serve:
Let rest for 5 minutes. Slice, then top each piece with shredded lettuce and a drizzle of burger sauce.
